29th April 2002	57th Regiment uniform query. By Craig Appleton. Is anyone aware of the cuff detail upon the foreign service frock worn by the 57th West Middlesex Regiment in the AZW. If so are there any known photographic or surviving museum exhibits which would serve as a reference to confirm this.

30th April 2002	John Young Craig, I have original photographs of the 57th in the field, if you'd like I'll try and do you copies. They are only carte-de-viste size but you should be able to see the cuff details in at least one of them. John
22nd May 2002	Mike Tupling Not a reply but a query - could anyone supply me with details of the uniform colour of the Natal Mounted Police. Am I right in thinking that the jacket was blue? Mike
22nd May 2002	John Young Mike, It was actually a black cord tunic. I have heard it said that the dye wasn't too good, so it resulted in either a dark grey or dark brown look.
