Date | Original Topic | 17th February 2005 | Bromhead in North Wales By John Sweeney A relation in Scotland has bought an old postcard dated 1900 addressed to a Colonel Bromhead at an address near Ruthin in North wales. does anyone know if he was likely to be related to Gonville?
Thanks

It is probably to Gonville's brother Charles, also an Anglo Zulu War veteran - he lived in North Wales in his retirement - but was 'brought home' to be buried - see the Keynsham Light Horse website - links left.

many thanks for info. Could you give me a clue as to where I'll find info on Keynsham site please? I'm struggling to track it down.
Thanks again

Click on "links" in the column of items on the left of this page. Choose Keynsham Light Horse from the choice which appears. Once the home page of the KLH site comes up, click on "site search." Enter Bromhead for the search and when about ten items are listed, click on number two - you'll be shown the grave of Col Charles Bromhead.
Then have a good browse through a superb website!
