Parking within Bilston Cemetery is limited so it may be best to park around/on Cemetery Street.
On completion of the ceremony, all are invited to an informal reception at Bilston Sports & Social Club,
Wellington Road, WV14 6AY, approximately 350 yards from the cemetery gates.

The weather was dry and a little on the cool side. There was a good turn-out to witness the rededication of the grave which is
beautifully executed and is a fitting tribute to one of the defenders.

The rededication is due in no small measure to the efforts of Drum Major Tim Needham. Tim had some very pressing
military commitments, so he handed it all to Paul King to organise. Paul gave a summary of Pte.Bromwich's life and his part
in the defence.

This was followed by an account of the defence by former Curator at RWR Museum in Brecon, Bill Cainan.

A service of dedication was given by Rev. Dave Wills (RBL Chaplain & St.Leonards Church, Bilston). Wreaths were laid.

The Last Post and Reveille was sounded by the Buglar Sgt.Robert Ayres, Regimental Band of The Royal Welsh.
The Diehards provided the link to the 24th. with their tunics. The Standard Bearers were from the Staffordshire
British Legion.

Attending too were descendants of Pte.Frederick Hitch VC (Sandra Barker) and of Pte.John Williams VC (Colin Fielding).

They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old...
