Officers And The Ability To Sketch Terrain ? |

Topography was a subject taught at Sandhurst. Each officer learnt military drawing, surveying and landscape drawing as part of the course while they attended the college. Examinations were held each term and officers had to achieve a 50% pass rate or better in each subject.
It was expected that any officer who had passed out of Sandhurst would be able to sketch features of the ground satisfactorily. Graham |
