Speaking as an Australian, allow me to say that only female kangaroos and wallabies are referred to as marsupials - male animals are parsupials!

I'm sure the police spokesman obviously knew that, and the animals sighted were therefore female. |

In the Isle of Man we've had a breeding colony of Wallabies in the "wild" for several years now. A few made their escape from the local wildlife park and have successfully survived all that the British winters can throw at them. They are normally quite elusive and there are only occassional sightings, so I wouldn't worry too much about them turning up in the centre of Highnam.
