Just to let the forum know that a number of Victoria Crosses were on display in the Museum of Rugby, Twickenham yesterday, during the Help For Heroes Challenge Match. (A fanstastic event which has so far raised well over 1 million pounds to help wounded service personnel)
Two Rorke's Drift V.C.'s were amongst those on display - belonging to John Chard and Robert Jones - plus the South African Campaign medal awarded to Sergeant Robert Maxfield, 2/24th. Just wondering though what became of the Jubilee Medal awarded to John Chard shortly before his death in 1897....... |

I've got to concur with Lee that was an excellent event in very good cause.
