Simon,
If you hop down to Durban, you might find the choice of tour guide extended. Enjoy your trip! Regards, AMB |

I had the same feelings prior to attempting to drive from Durban to Isandlwana and back to Durban my first time. Honestly, no problem from / to Durban. You will enjoy the drive. My wife and I did.
Isandlwana Lodge will do a transfer but I think you might need transport yourself to get out and about when you get up there. Another reason to hire. When I leave Isandlwana the next time I am driving to Joburg. |

thank you, but I'm not the worlds best driver and drive infrequently at home, as I'm just minutes away from where i work!! So I'd prefer to be picked up, not bothered about extra cost, and i'd like to spend a couple of days walking about Isandhlwana, then Rorke's Drift, so i may contact the lodge and David and see if pick ups are possible

Myself & my father stopped 5 days.
We told them what we wanted and where we wanted to go and Paul & Christine arranged the whole lot and gave us various quotes regards Andrew |

My wife and I stayed at Rorke's Drift Lodge for the 3-day package last year and were greatly pleased. Paul and Christine go out of their way to make you feel at home, without their lodge we would never have gotten as much as we did from our visit to Rorke's Drift and Isandlwana.

If you have unlimited money to spend, the AZWHS is, according to their site, organising a tour next March. After allowing approximate amounts for airfare and transport in South Africa, it will cost around 390 a day (R5300+ at today's rates). Everything is paid (except drinks), but that is at Fugitives' Drift Lodge, two sharing. Total price 3350 each for seven nights accomodation. Phew!
