Look what's just popped up on our local auction website. Who says these things don't reach the outer colonies?
http://www.trademe.co.nz/a.asp?I'd=52782179 Is it really what it says it is? Does anyone know the history or origin of it? Or is it a mass-produced souvenir being traded by an opportunist? (in spite of the numbering) If anyone's interested I could be persuaded to place a bid on your behalf but you'd better front with the dosh! Dawn |

Thanks, John for the info.
What year were they presented? And are they really worth that much? On an exchange rate of $1=33p that would give it a price tag of 136pounds. It would look very nice on my wall but alas, I am but a poor, struggling writer. Dawn |

Thanks, Martin, for the information. One wonders how the article could have travelled to the other side of the world in the ten intervening years. I was hoping to get an answer something along those lines when I posed my question. The answer is very illuminating
