When I had been talking about creating a new re-enactment group when I had been on Facebook, I happened to mention it would be great to include one or two war correspondents as well, who on the day of an AZW event, made pencil sketches and took notes just like they did back in 1879 - no photographs, or iPads, etc., but pencil and paper.
It would add an extra dimension/realism to their roles, in the way of Melton Prior, Norris Newman, etc -
I recall someone mentioning there were sketches taken at events by someone present in this way, stating there were some nice ones, but no images were posted to verify that fact, so I wasn�t convinced such a �correspondent� was actually there at all.
It�s more likely the role I would have portrayed at any events, it�d at least put my art �0� level to good use anyway
