James Owen, alias Pte David Lewis, played by Ivor Emmanuel in Zulu was laid to rest in Swansea, now plans are underway to re-dedicate his grave:

Information supplied by Tim Needham:

Just to let you know that a re-dedication ceremony to unveil a new headstone over the grave
of Rorke's Drift Defender James Owen (alias 963 Pte. David Lewis 2/24th) is planned for
Sunday 12th October 2014 in Swansea (timings to be confirmed, but likely to be around 1230pm).

For all those wishing to attend the address for the event is:

Bethel Chapel, Carnglas Rd., Sketty, Swansea, SA2 9BJ

I'll let you have further info as it is confirmed.

The start time for the re-dedication of Pte. David Lewis/James Owen's grave has now been confirmed as 1230 (Sunday 12th Oct), following is a map of the cemetery for those wishing to attend.

There is limited parking at Bethel Chapel, some road-side parking available on Carnglas Road as well as further spaces at the Baptist Chapel car park further up the road (they have kindly offered its use).
