Quick question for you all:
Shepstone rode over to Chelmsford on the morning of the 21st to tell him Durnford was at RD and to seek further orders. The only ones he got were that Bengough’s men were not to cross at the Gates of Natal but to join Durnford at RD. Does anyone know the source for the content of that message? I wanted to check the exact wording and can’t find it. I thought it might be Fynn.
