I'm currently looking at any connection the Isle of Man has with the AZW and have so far found that Lt Colonel Henry Burmester Pulleine was stationed here between 1855-60, from his obituary.

Does anyone know how i can back up this information and find the testimonial that was written when he left the Isle?

I hope you attended the recent Rob Caskie talk at the museum.

I am not aware of any direct connections (being a mere come-over myself), but there were several relatives of participants present at the talk.

Regards,

Barry

I'm not sure if the relatives were from across, or whether their families have relocated to the Island since 1879.

One was related to Captain Campbell, killed at Hlobane, the other was related to Chard's commanding officer and had several letters in his possession from 1879.

Regards,

Barry
