Anyone living in or around Epsom, Surrey might be interested in the display of Zulu War exhibits on Sat 21st & Sun 22nd February in Bourne Hall, Ewell.
Col. Glyn & Lt. Col. Northey were both local men (there is a Glyn School & Glyn Arms nearby), and the museum has the memorial of Lt. Col. Northey erected in South Africa. It's all part of the Herald of Spring festival taking place over that weekend, that includes an old-time fair, Victorian characters etc. Might be worth a visit. |
