This is a big ask, but has anyone seen photographs of military men in 1870s-1880s, in Africa, wearing something like the following ? -

Please bear with me, there is a reason I need to know.

Thanks in advance.

Coll,

Up in the Sudan, protective glasses were worn.

There's an engraving, which I don't have to hand, of Household Brigade officers wearing either protective glasses or sun-goggles.
