Hi,
Does anyone have a source for accurate reproductions of British uniforms? I am interested in an circa 1879 Infantry Officer's tunic and trousers. I have emailed Sutlers with no response. Any information you can provide will be most appreciated.

Thanks,
John

Alan, thanks for the tip. I found another place, called Visually Correct Accoutrements. They have a limited web site and the only contact is a UK phone number. Has anyone dealt with them?

Thanks,
John

Hi Mike,
Thanks - I found his website this morning and have emailed him about a uniform. How is the quality of the tunic and trousers?

Thanks again,
John

Hi John,
I should have the tunic within a few days, the trousers are great along with the gaiters, haversack, greyback, messtin and messtin cover.

I will post a photo when the tunic arrives..

Regards

Mike

Hi Mike,
I was looking again at the Regimental Quartermaster website and the trousers are listed as being light weight blue with a 1/4" blue stripe - I suspect that is a misprint as the stripe was red. Are your trousers cut full for those of us who have a well developed bum?

Thanks,
John

Hi John,

The trousers have the "red" stripe, it was a misprint and they fit perfect on me...and yes i have a well defined "Beer Belly" Wink
I had to get the cuffs adjusted but the waist is fine.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the info on the trousers. I have emailed them but no reply yet. Is it better to deal with them by phone?
