Matt,

Whether there are any Welshmen in the group I could not say with any certainty.
The officer in the group, seated on a stump or stall is Captain Farquhar Glennie,
of the reconstituted G Company 2nd/24th. Glennie was born in London. He was part of
the reinforcement sent out after Isandlwana. He was in the U.K. at the time of both
Isandlwana and Rorkes Drift recuperating from a wound sustained in the 9th Cape Frontier War.

The bearded Colour-Sergeant, seated bottom left, cradling his Martini-Henry in the crook
of his arm is 430 A. Ross, I no details about where he was from though.

So as to the text on Pininterest like so many things on there it is best forgotten.

Regards,

JY
