Strange sight at Isandlwana

I came across this rock formation on the western slopes of Isandlwana on one of my visits.
It looks more like the tiled floor of a house but it's natural and totally symmetrical.

A modern visitors' centre was built on the site of the battlefield in 1930s - it was demolished in the 1950s. I do not have details here at home. I know there is an image in one of the old SWB Journals.

I think I've seen pictures of the centre but I thought that was S.E. of the hill on the Zulu left. It looked like a 60's building with a pointed roof.
