I'd like to have been a "fly on the wall" at the times when the crucial decisions were made by both sides before and during both of the battles.

It would have been interesting to be able to witness the changes that were made to strategy while they were being made. This is especially the case with the knowledge that the decisions were or were not the right ones - but without the ability to say "No, don't do that" or "Yes, that's the right thing to do".

Finally, another more "off the wall" comment. I wonder whether the principal characters would have appreciated being told that they would in the future be played by actors in films, and that they wouldn't necessarily have come out in a good light? Just as an example, I wonder what Henry Hook would have said about James Booth's portrayal of him?

Actually I'd like to be in my ancestor's shoes to see what happened to him.

If you were in your ancestor's shoes would you be around now to answer the question?

Time travel can be confusing, but I guess, at a specific moment, Julian will transfer back to his present day self today. Confused

PS. Of course, like the programme Quantum Leap, you might end up tranferring into another historical figure by accident. Rolling Eyes

No problem. Not a great-great grandfather. But a great-great-great uncle.
