Those who visit Google Earth will be aware that 360 degree camera cars are recording locations around the world and it is now possible to "drive" along the R68 from Ngutu and see pics of the Qwabe Valley and views looking onto the Isandlwana plain. You can then turn off the R68 to "drive" along the Phindo Hills and the Magogo/Silutshana area and the valley where Chelmsford breakfasted and also the action on the morning of the 22nd. Just zoom onto the R68 and select "street view".

Many thanks for that, Mel. I spent a happy lunch hour driving around interesting areas of KZN. Never having been there, it has whetted my appetite no end (as if that was necessary!)

The Camera car has covered more roads including Rorke's Drift and Hlobane. You can even drive down (or up) the Biggersberg Pass.
