It's really encouraging that so many attended the various events and that speakers
are willing to give their time to provide excellent presentations.
I'm always hearing "I'm no expert..." being said, modestly no doubt. I think they are
experts and are appreciated as such.
I hope that Mike McCabe will join us on the forum to give us the benefit of his 'expert' knowledge.

Thank you very much for oraganising the event. As an aside, a very good friend of our's is one of your volunteer helper's in the book binding dept; she has promised me, that she will keep you on your toes, (once you can stand on all of them)! (No name ; no pack drill). [Where does that phrase come from?]

Lectures / seminar:

I thouroughly enjoyed seeing the photos of the battle fields / graves that I was unable to visit when I was out there.

N.A's talk "exploded" some myths, which to a novice, were brilliant observations based on facts, rather than conjectures.

M. Mc's lecture and later seminar, gave us an overview to the troup movements of the nZulu's at Isandlwana and the "MFH" so that I can now have some appreciation of what you experts are debating.

Many thanks

JK

I remember Mike McCabe posting on the forum a couple of years ago, but stopped around the same time as the very heated debates, which may have deterred him from posting again.

His posts were highly informative, helpful, and did take topics on a few interesting paths, so maybe with him having attended the event, might encourage him to come back.

What a brilliant weekend, loads of lively eager visitors. Nice to see old friends, peter, Dewi, Mike, the 1879 Lads and many more.

What was most satisfying was the Kids, all keen as mustard, most had seen Zulu and enthused about seeing the Soldiers, the Guns and Russ's rockets!., makes me pleased its not just us sad old duffers, and new generations are pushing up.

Hope you now get the foot up, and do B-all for a while! Brilliant weekend..oh and what was the final footfall?.

Bill,

I can only echo what has been stated above, I enjoyed the weekend immensely. Thank you Bill for a great event and hope the appeal goes well, and sincerely hope a similar event will be repeated next year or sooner! It was also great to see Neil, Peter and Mike and others once again.

Thanks again Bill, and I hope you have a speedy recovery.

Dewi.
