Dear all,

Alan has spent some time going through Google Earth and locating the graves etc. These placemarks (and co-ordinates) have been placed on the main site under each of the awardee's pages (as well as the main battle page, Isandhlwana and Bourne's)..

For example: http://www.rorkesdriftvc.com/battle/battle.htm

More will undoubtably follow, but it's well worth downloading Google Earth if you haven't done so already.

Go to http://earth.google.com and then simply download and open the placemarks!!

Any further submissions would be welcome!

All the best,

Peter

In addition, if anyone has a more detailed layout, I could be a little more precise. I'm thinking of Chard, Allen and Bromhead (Martin?) in particular. My memory on these can't relate to the aerial views.

Regarding Google Earth,
I make the co ordinates for Hatch Beauchamp church as
50deg. 59 min 8sec north
2 deg 59 min 23 sec west.
Hope that helps.
Great idea BTW.
