hi all,
well I'm another new member, so be patient with me, as usually. Very Happy
I'm from Rome,Italy. 53 old.

I'm a collector of British Colonial Militaria and a keen student of the period.

I found your forum very interesting and is a pleasure for me to join it.

regards
Piero

Ciao Piero,

No! My ragazza speaks Italian. But, if you want to use Italian sometime, she will translate for me.

I can ask for two beers which I can do in more than a dozen others. I mean, what else do you need to know when travelling?

Regards

Welcome Piero,

You're now part of a very interesting group! And don't expect to limit the range of topics to the AZW.

Hello Piero....I think you'll like this place....fine contributors and experts on the period here. I've learned much from all of them.

PS My son just visited your country and Rome. He has nothing but praise for the country, the history, the people and the FOOD. And I'm jealous because he's seen the Forum and I haven't yet!...Wink.....

Hi all,
thanks for your warm welcome.
I think I'll learn very much from you and I hope to give to you some of my little knowledge about.
to be honest Zulu's War is not my favourite period ( most interested in NWF) but I was always impressed by the fighting organization of the Zulus, the courage of the defenders of Rorke's drift and so on.
of course the Zulu's war interest was strongly push by two of the most formidable films about Colonial history ever procuced, ZULU and Zulu down.
terrific.

well Italy is a nice place, Rome expecially, good food but sometime not good people.
I hope , in the future, if somebody will came here will ring me for a meeting.

As mentioned before I'm collectors and re-enactor too.
my best piece for the Zulu-Boer war is a 1878 Colonial helmet that I will try to show in some pics as soon as I discover how to post photos.

Piero
