Date | Original Topic | 15th December 2004 | National Army Museum Zulu War weekend By Ed Coan Zulu Dawn is not the only treat in store over Christmas/new year:
I've just heard that the National Army Museum are holding one of their popular Anglo-Zulu War weekends on 6/7 Feb 2005.
Guest speakers will be Tony Pollard (director of the archaelogical survey of Isandlwana); Ian Knight (whose 'National Army Museum Book of the Zulu War' recently won an award); Damian O'Connor (author of biog on Bartle Frere) and Prof John Laband. It's a rare opportunity to hear John Laband lecture in the UK - not to be missed methinks.
Also I hear there's to be some sort of re-enactment based loosely around the Isandlwana court of inquiry. Should raise some interesting questions/debate.
