I am going to make up the rocket battery that was at isandlwana but im not sure what it consisted of (im using 15mm figures)ive got 2 rockets plus launchers,4 rocket crew,4 mules ,and i might use 4 british regulars to add numbers, does anyone else know any more bit i could include
Thanx | Date | Replies | 2nd January 2002 | Gary Laliberty Hi Alex:
The Manual of Field Artillery Exercises(1871 or 1877) specified that "the (crew) detachment consists of one non-commissioned officer and four gunners". In fact Maj. Russell's rocket battery, attached to Durnford's No. 2 Column, consisted of one RA bombardier and eight members of the 24th to man three troughs, which were carried on mules.
I hope this has help you.
