20th January 2004	David Glynne Fox Hi P.F. The reason these two graves are to be marked was due to an article that I wrote for the Nottingham Evening Post. I plan to write an item for this site when I have the rededication dates available. As a direct result from my article, Co-Op Funeral Care have offered to place two headstones with relevant epitaphs on the graves of these two Rorke's Drift defenders free of charge. I believe the rededication is due either late January or in February, but as mentioned, no dates have been fixed. Also as a result of this article, I have been in contact with descendents of both these fine gentlemen and have built up a file of new information which I intend to submit shortly for publication. Both families are delighted that their illustrious ancestors are to be at last remembered and I personally cannot thank Co-Op Funeral Care enough for this wonderful gesture. As soon as everything is finalised I will notify this website. Regards to all. david
