Date | Original Topic | 13th December 2003 | Cattle in the Zulu War By Erich Wagner I am attempting to verify the validity of whether or not Lord Chelmsford actually obtained cattle from Texas in order to supplement his invasion columns. About a year ago I posted this question but received no responses. I am still attempting to research this, and would be very interested for any input on this matter. | Date | Replies | 13th December 2003 | John Young Erich,
I certainly I answered your question before, but here goes. The Commissariat & Transport Department purchased mules from Texas & other southern States. To my knowledge Lord Chelmsford did not cattle from America.
