can anybody tell me the meaning of the latin words are on the helmet plate of the 24th
and also, was this unique to this Regiment.

It is the motto of the Most Noble Order of the Garter - founded in 1348. 'Honi soit qui mal y pense' Latin - with a mixture of French and translates 'Evil to him who evil thinks' Most infantry helmet plates had this motto - so it is not unique to the 24th. | 6th October 2003 | Clive Dickens Martin
