Hi there
I know the 24th had green facings on sleeves and collars, but was there also a green backing to the numbers on the helmet plate and glengarry badge?

No there wasn't.
Grass green facings were on:
ORs' 5-button frock coat collar patches and half-panel cuffs
Officers' India pattern frock coat collar.
