Please excuse this off-topic entry (and maybe everybody alrady knows this) but there is a virus going around the Internet in the form of email attachments. If you receive an odd or contentless message with a binary attachment, don't open the attachment. Delete the message instead. Otherwise, you may become infected.
It's also wise to be cautious about opening attachments even if the sender's address looks familiar. When someone you know gets infected; the virus can go through that person's address book or old email files and send itself to more potential victims. | Date | Replies | 20th August 2003 | Clive Dickens Diana
Yes I have had six attempts today, luclily I have Norton anti-virus which deleated them.
Clive | 21st August 2003 | JACK HITCH ONE OF MY FRIENDS HAS BEEN USING COMPS FOR 20 YEARS AND HAS NEVER GOTTEN A VIRUS. BUT DURING THE LAST WEEK HE HAS GOTTEN 6!!!!CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT? THE VIRUS CAUSED HIS COMPUTER TO SHUT DOWN!!!!! |
