You must go to the SWB/RRW Museum at Brecon - really good.

Hi Jock,

For a good idea of the sort of material the museum has, you might want to have a look at http://www.rrw.org.uk

All the best,

In the UK undoubtedly the museum of the R.R.W. at Brecon if you go to the Royal Enineers at Chatham they have a little on Lt Chard VC and if you get to South Africa then Talan museum in Dundee is quite good if only small.

Jock,
Brecon is the best place to see artifacts from Rorkes Drift but another place to see some items is The National Army Museum in Chelsea, London. It's right next to the Chelsea Pensioners home. Apart from the Zulu War stuff it is also a huge museum well worth a visit especially if you go when they hold one of their Zulu War days.

James is quite correct The National Army Museum is just brilliant dealing with the British army through the ages and it also has a very good shop and cafe I have spent whole days in this museum and still not been able to take evrything in there is no enterance fee they do like a voluntry contribution but it is such a brilliant museum who could object .

As one who lives on the other side of the planet Id like to know where I could see pictures of genuine R.D. artefacts. A trip to the U.K. is on the cards but it would be nice to see some pictures beforehand.
