3rd February 2003Children's book on the Anglo-Zulu War

Haven't been on the site for a while, so someone may have mentioned this, but my 10-year-old daughter is reading a series called 'My Story', where fictional children are placed in real historical situations.

There's just been one published on the Zulu War - publisher Scholastic Ltd, author Vince Cross (a pseudonym for the Victoria version?).

Anyway, I've just read it - before my daughter of course(!) - and it's excellent, and written from a Zulu perspective. Draws various threads of the campaign together to tell the overall story.

If, like me, you'd love to have someone else in the family to talk to about Zulu matters, this is a great lead-in for young people.
