1st February 2003	bromhead hospital near newark or Lincoln? By jay Often the former bromhead hospital in Thurlby Hall (nowadays a private hospital called Nuffield?) is said to be situated near Newark.However it looks like it is in Lincolnshire. Is it because of the parish boundaries were changed later on?

1st February 2003	Martin Everett My gazetteer suggest that Thurlby Hall is still in Lincolnshire. Newark, however, is in Nottinghamshire and is probably the nearest postal town - so the modern address is Thurlby, Newark, Nottinghamshire. I can only suggest you raise your point with the GPO
15th May 2004	deb fox The Bromhead hospital is situated in the catherdal area of Lincoln. Now owned by the Nuffield Hospitals group. Ann Bromhead founded the hospital around 1887 and was apparently a member of the Bromhead family, i belive Lt G bromhead was a nephew. I would like any additional information for our reash into the family. I am the current Matron of the hospital
