Hey, I live in SA adn feel that this site is just another way to show off the British. NO-one mentions the Zulu's, no their too savage and barbaric. Well if any other SA people feel the same add to this and give your opinion.

Dear '**** SA Citizen'

I hate to contradict you but whenever the opportunity araises in the forum I mention the AmaZulu. Personally I have nothing but admiration for the AmaZulu, they were defending their kingdom against a hostile invader.

This site reflects, in my opinion, the courage of both sides of the unfortunate, unnecessary conflict. I feel sure that most visitors and contributors to this forum will echo that feeling.

A matter of weeks ago I personally to part in a service of reconciliation between the British public, and a representive of the Zulu Royal House and ordinary AmaZulu. This was the third such service we have conducted over the past two years. Are these the actions of "...another way to show off the British"? I think not.

If you wish to further this debate - at least have the common courtesy to declare who you really are, don't hide behind a nom de plume.

Dear Pissed SA citizen. This site and 99% of the people who use it, have nothing but admiration and respect for the Zulu nation. Get a life mate!

Liewe S.A Citizen,
Soos John en Trevor gese het, dui hiereie website die dapperheid van buide partye in die geveg aan. Dit is glad nie eensydig nie, en as jy die moeite doen om aandagtig hier deur te lees, sal jy dalk iets leer.
Groete

I AGREE WITH P'Od CITIZEN. You may not be but you sure act racist. You also act like you know everything about the ZULU war! You british know nothing! Stop speaking for the Zulus. We can speak for ourselves! LONG LIVE THE ZULUS!

By your comments above i.e. "You British know nothing" you have shown your true colours as a racist. The Zulus can and have spoken for themselves on numerous occasions and usually do so in a courteous manner. I doubt that anything you say would be representative of any Zulus I have met.

You obviously havn't read the site forum for any length of time. If you had you would have read many forum entries that recognise Zulu bravery.
The huge interest in the Zulu war has arisen from the great admiration the British have had for a brave enemy since 1879. Both the Zulus and the British spoke for themselves by their brave actions on South Africa's battlefields.

Dear Aliva.

I would like to point out you are currently in breach of our discussion forum rules.

Specifically:

2. Xenophobia is not acceptable - We all have a responsibility to respect each others opinions. If you have a point to make, make it - but DO NOT use someones country as an excuse to insult their comments.

Specific example: "You british know nothing!"

No-one has insulted you or your country, and as such you are in the unfortunate postion that it is in-fact you who is using race as an argument. Please halt your attempts to incite an agressive response.

If you persist with any more postings of this nature, they will be removed.

Dear Aliva,

I hate to correct someone who purports to be a Zulu, but I understand the accepted spelling for the name of the Zulu monarch in 1879 to be King Cetshwayo kaMpande.

It may be you're also 'flying under false colours' when you spell his name as 'Cetewayo', which I am informed causes great offence to members of the Zulu Royal House.

I have been in the very fortunate position to have met many Zulu people and have ALWAYS found them to be very kind and proud people and it is an honour to have met them, they are proud of their history and quite rightly so. and I think what John has said is perfectly correct we ALL on this site recognise their bravery, so it would be nice if the two correspondents who have started this inflamotory remarks wouls do likewise or just SHUT UP.

I find this to be very amusing. But what ticks me off is that you people believe this "Aliva" is a real Zulu. Come on. @!@#!! SA and Aliva must be the same person. They are doing this for a laugh. I have more respect for the Zulus than I do the British(and yes im british).
Now can we please ignore posts like this(even though they are quite amusing)?
THANKS DAVID

Thanx for replying to my msg and i value all of your opinions. The British are arrogant in some forms but seem to have vast knowledge on the topic. I want to apologize for any criticism in my first posting. I know many British and some of them are great.
Thanx

p.S. aliva and I are two different people and share in some ways different opinions
