Date | Original Topic | 30th June 2002 | General service wagon By Jon Poulton I'm looking for any detailed plans of the general service wagon used during the Zulu campaign. The only ones I have so far are the original sketches that appear in the Osprey Elite series book on British forces in Zulu land.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers Jon

There is more information in the Narrative of Field Operations for the Zulu War pubished in 1881 - which has been reprinted by Greenhill Books. If that is too difficult then contact us. | 1st July 2002 | Bill Cainan Jon
I would also refer you to "Eyewitness in Zululand" by Ian Bennett in which there are drawings of the Army GS waggon; the similar Ambulance version; the mule waggon; the American waggon; the American Buck waggon; and the Scotch Cart. The account also includes good descriptions of the whole logistic set up in the war.
