9th February 2005The Eclipse on 22 Jan. 1879?

Did the Zulus' know that the eclipse was taking place on the 22 Jan., and were they going to wait the day out and attack on the 23rd, had Raw and party not sumbled across them.

If this is so, I wonder how they knew the dates of the eclipses'?
